Beaches
We are within a short distance from many beautiful sandy beaches.
Gristhorpe Bay — The views from the cliff top at Crows Nest overlook Gristhorpe Bay, a shingly beach with many rockpools ideal for budding crab hunters. Seals are often found on and around the rocks. Access is available via a path, not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Swimming is not recommended due to undercurrents.
Cayton Bay — Set in a beautiful location and only 1 mile away, it is walkable via road or cliff top path. Car parking is available; but it is a steep walk down a path from the car park to the beach.
Filey — Filey beach has direct access from the parking area making it ideal for smaller children and walks along the seafront.
Scarborough — South Bay is the most famous of Scarboroughs two beaches. There is so much to do for all ages, donkey rides, arcades, 10 pin bowling, and many cafes to suit all tastes. North Bay is its quieter neighbour, for a more peaceful day by the sea.
Hunmanby Gap — South of Filey is Hunmanby Gap, more peaceful than the other beaches. It has car parking available and a café.
