Castle Howard by Sophie

With the new adventure playground open in August 2008 - Castle Howard is a great outdoors plays for the kids

Our favourite part at Castle Howard is the new playarea. My sister and I have great fun on all the new climbing frames. There is a tractor-train that will take you to the play area if you do not want to walk.

Amelia is 2 and there is a seperate area for her to play on while I play on the big climbing frames or on the rope swings. There is also a big circle swing which we go on together.

Next to the playarea there is a little cafe that sells hot drinks for the Mummy and Daddys and we get the lunch box. There are also lots of tables and chairs so you can take a picnic.

After the playarea we walk through the woods. Mummy always tells us the bear hunt story but we haven't found any yet. During the school holidays they also have different story-telling and activities on for children. We have done quite a few and enjoy them.

After a long walk up the hills in the woods we then get to roll down the otherside of the hill which is good fun! There is lots to do outside of the house but there are some beautiful things to look at inside the house as well.
